Vincent Castaldi, born and raised in Rhode Island, discovered his passion for art at an early age, studying fine art, drawing, and pottery. He first attended the Rhode Island School of Design’s Junior School Program in junior high and later returned to RISD to study fine art and illustration. During his time there, he worked as a teacher’s assistant and youth art instructor, experiences that helped refine both his technical skills and creative voice. In his senior year, he participated in RISD’s European Honors Program, studying in Rome and deepening his artistic perspective. Vincent’s work often incorporates layered collage elements—combining personal notes, sketches, and pastels—to create textured, introspective pieces that offer glimpses into his psyche.
